Ceramic Products

Ceramic products will never go out of fashion. They offer a pretty, traditional look, and they’ll add to any space. Ceramics also have a number of more modern purposes and are used in a variety of modern-day implements which aren’t necessarily expected. Here is a selection of some of our favourite ceramic products:

Ceramic Mugs

Ceramic mugs are a popular favourite. They come in varieties like earthenware and bone china, both of which are suitable for different purposes. Earthenware will be robust and strong, whilst bone china looks delicate and pretty. Ceramic mugs can make excellent gifts, and there is so much variety that you’re bound to find something which you like.

Porcelain Ornaments

Porcelain is a ceramic material which is produced using extremely high temperatures to create a material which is stronger and more resilient than other kinds of pottery. It was first used in China, and became so popular in the west that it often simply became known as ‘china’. There are a number of porcelain ornaments around which you can decorate your home with. You may want to go hunting around in antiques shops to find something unique.

Roasters

Ceramic roasters are an attractive and practical addition to your kitchen. They are often stoneware, with a non-stick interior to enhance their usability. Roasters are available in a whole host of colours, so you’ll be able to find one which will match your kitchen’s colour scheme and suit your style preferences.

Ceramic Baking Beans

Ceramics really do have an incredibly versatile range of uses! Baking beans are an essential part of blind-baking for homemade pastry cases. This process ensures that the pastry cooks through evenly before it is filled. Ceramic baking beans are hygienic, and represent good value for money because they’re reusable.

Cheese Baker

These clever little ceramic dishes are perfect for baking cheeses such as camembert or brie. They’re just the right size, and ensure that your cheese will bake evenly without creating any mess. They’re an attractive table accessory too, and come complete with a lid so that you don’t have to remove the cheese and can keep it warm to serve.

Casserole Dishes and Stew Pots

A stoneware casserole dish or stew pot will add a homely touch to your kitchen. They’re available in a range of bright colours but are useful and functional as well. There’s something of the Mediterranean about them, and you can cook a range of delicious foods with this handy piece of equipment.

Ceramic Pans

Pans which are non-stick will often have a ceramic coating inside. This shows the versatility of ceramics – they can make useful cooking tools which cover a range of functions.

Sinks

Ceramic sinks make a wonderful finishing touch for a bathroom or kitchen. They are solid and durable, and give the room an attractive traditional feel. A ceramic Belfast sink in a kitchen can make a focal point for the whole room.

Tiles

These can be made use of as flooring or wall tiles. They come in a range of styles, colours and finishes, as well as different sizes depending on their purpose. You can also cut them down to size yourself, but you’ll need specialist equipment.
