We’ve all been there…. the kitchen utensil draw. With one of the main things we always notice is the strange amount of spoons we have. With the common question being why do we need so many spoons? Surely they all do the same job as each other. Well, today we are going to discuss with you all the different types of spoons and their uses.

Possibly one of the most commonly used spoons in cooking and baking. An extra spoon that is bound to make an appearance in every household across the world. This type of spoon is possibly the perfect spoon for cooking in the kitchen. With it being so lightweight and made of a material that does not conduct heat, meaning your spoon will not get hot when working at high temperatures. As well as it being so soft to the touch, it will not scratch your pans, keeping them looking nice!

Metal Spoons
These are another popular choice of spoons when cooking. The main disadvantage is that they will scratch your pots and pans, they will also get very hot if using at a high temperature! These are better to be used when serving dishes rather than cooking them due to their sturdiness, and their ability to scrape at dishes.

Silicone Spoons
Fairly new to the market in the spoon world is silicone spoons. But these are becoming extremely popular in homes. With them being easy to clean, stain-resistant and do not get hot to the touch. They are the perfect all-around spoon for ease of use.
